Burlington’s Festival of Lights is one of the city’s favourite holiday traditions. Celebrating its 23rd year of spreading holiday magic and cheer, the event began on November 30th and runs until January 8th.
Visitors can expect 60 beautiful light displays set up at Spencer Smith Park and a breathtaking candlelit stroll and opening ceremony to kick things off. A favourite and familiar face, the Festival of Lights mascot will also be there, taking pictures and interacting with the kids.
Local food vendors will also be in attendance, allowing patrons to enjoy a bite to eat and a warm drink as they take in the sight of all the beautiful light displays. This year visitors can indulge in burgers from Works Gourmet Burger Bistro and hot chocolate from Coffee Culture Café and Eatery.
The perfect event for the whole family, Santa will also be at the festival to visit with all the children and spread holiday cheer. Visitors can pick up their complimentary candle and route map at 6:00pm in Civic Square, where the candlelit stroll will begin.
